Per Maine State Election law, election workers cannot be a candidate for office or a member of a candidate's immediate family. In addition, a person cannot have a direct pecuniary interest in the result of a referendum question appearing on the ballot.
The City is seeking election workers for the upcoming two-year cycle. If you are interested in having your name submitted for consideration, please take a moment to complete this application. Once completed, a staff member from the City Clerk's office will get back to you as soon as possible.
We want to ensure that we place you in a position that is most beneficial and will utilize your skills and abilities. Please list any skills you feel would be helpful to us . Also list any limitations we should be aware of for job placement (i.e. difficulty with hearing or vision, ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, etc.
(Note: Presidential Primary is the 1st Tuesday in March | June Election is the 2nd Tuesday | November Election is the 1st Tuesday following the first Monday)
