City Council
The City Council consists of seven members who are elected to serve staggered three-year terms. In addition to two At Large Councilors, there are five Councilors representing each of the five City districts. Councilors are limited to serving three consecutive terms. Elections are held in November and nomination papers are available in the City Clerk's office late July/early August.

City Manager
The Executive Department is the office of the City Manager. Under a Council/Manager form of government, the City Manager is appointed by and serves at the discretion of the City Council. The City Manager is responsible for the overall management and administration of the day-to-day operations of the City.
