SoPo Unite
Our Mission
We are here to make South Portland a safe, just, and healthy community to prevent youth substance use.
SoPo Unite is a coalition bringing together all sectors of the community--parents, school staff, police, healthcare, businesses, youth serving organizations, civic organizations and faith based organizations. We discuss and educate others on best practices to prevent youth substance use and promote resilience in our community.

There are many ways to get involved with SoPo Unite as a parent of a young person in South Portland. We hold monthly coalition meetings that bring together a diverse group of adult and youth stakeholders in the community to discuss important current issues and plan outreach events. We also have a smaller 'Build a Village' parent committee who share information with parents in their circle and help plan parent specific trainings throughout the year. Contact Lee Anne Dodge: ldodge@southportland.gov if you'd like to join either or just connect to get more information!
