The Comprehensive Plan Committee (CPC) continues its work on the Comp Plan, the guiding document for the next 10 years of growth and development across the community.  


Here’s the latest news:


Accepting applications for youth representative - The Comprehensive Plan Committee (CPC) is seeking a youth representative to help shape the future of our City! Interested applicants ages 16-22 should apply by January 29 at: bit.ly/SoPoCommittees


Recent news and coming up - This week, the CPC made draft policy recommendations for the eastern waterfront area from Ferry Village to SMCC. Watch the meeting recording. The committee expects to discuss the waterfront, including the Bug Light area, at a special meeting on January 29. Keep an eye on the City’s meeting calendar and participate in person or online.


The Comprehensive Plan Committee is made up of 14 South Portland residents, City staff, and elected officials appointed by the City Council. All CPC meetings are open to the public in person and online via Zoom. Meetings are also live streamed on SPC-TV and online at http://bit.ly/SPCTV_Live.
