Here's your update about the Dec. 16 M3C meeting!

Mahoney & Public Safety Facilities Project Posted on December 12, 2025 | Last Updated on December 12, 2025

Dear Community Member,

Thank you for your interest in the Mahoney City Center & Public Safety Buildings Project!

An important project milestone is coming up at the next Mahoney City Center Committee (M3C) meeting on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 6PM in City Hall Council Chambers, and we invite you to join and share your thoughts with the Committee! There are two public comment periods, including one at the start of the meeting.

Here's what's on the agenda:

  • Public Hearing to select a conceptual design proposal to recommend to the City Council. M3C will continue its discussion of 3 options for the Mahoney building (including whether to maintain the theater and/or gym area space for community use). Cost estimates for each option are expected to be presented, as well as estimates to renovate city buildings at their current locations. The design team is currently finalizing these estimates to present to the Committee on Tuesday.

  • An update from the Funding Plan Subcommittee on its research to date into potential funding sources for the project to help minimize the property tax impact on taxpayers.

  • An update from the Communications Subcommittee on public input received from the many hundreds of community members who have taken part in outreach events and shared their input in the Community Space Needs Survey. Thank you for participating and helping to shape this project!
