Thanks to the many hundreds of community members who have taken the Community Space Needs survey (closing Dec. 9), joined us for committee meetings, attended the Building Crawls and Community Design Deep Dive, and shared your ideas, questions and concerns about the Mahoney City Center and Public Safety Buildings project. Your collective feedback guides the Mahoney City Center Committee (M3C) to shape the project our community wants to see.
Coming up! An important project milestone is coming up at the next M3C meeting. The design team is expected to present initial cost estimates for three Mahoney site plan options, as well as estimates for renovating or rebuilding city facilities at their current locations. During the meeting, the committee is expected to decide which City Center option to recommend to the City Council in January. And we want to hear from you!
Join us on Tuesday, December 16 at 6 PM in City Hall Council Chambers. There is a public comment period at the start and end of the meeting. You can also watch live online at http://bit.ly/SPCTV_Live. You can email comments to the committee at M3C@southportland.gov. The meeting agenda and materials will be posted by 4:30 PM Thursday, December 11 on BoardDocs.
